New Music / Freshly Written & Recently Released
When I got back from vacation earlier this week I decided to head out to hear some live music as soon as I could. I saw that Pianos had a good lineup on Tuesday night, and, with no work scheduled early the next morning, I headed over there after work (nothing scheduled the next day, so I could do the all-nighter waiting for the train back home).
When I listened to samples of the bands' music on line before I went, I was especially impressed by Brooklyn band "Twin Wave", which actually just has only one song on their web page. They were scheduled to be the opener.
This was the second time in a row that I was not prepared for Pianos' punctuality, that the times they advertise are the "real" show times, so I have to confess that I did miss the bands first couple songs, but I did hear a good part of their show and I liked what I heard. I like the chords and the vocal stylings.
The band is new; they came into existence just last Fall. And while they have only one song mounted on their page, the band is busy at work on a 4-track ep which they hope to debut in a few months.
The band has a nice eclectic style, and they're worth a listen. Playing right here on my blog page is "Relapse" by Brooklyn band Twin Wave.

I plan to hear them again and next time will show up on time! :)
